All our cashmere is Machine Washable - yes you read it right!  

Our cashmere is 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere, which means they’re incredibly soft, durable, and machine washable at 30 degrees. 

Our cashmere is consciously crafted to be machine washable. Looking after your cashmere not only ensures you can enjoy your Georgie Girl Cashmere piece for years to come, but in turn, is kinder to the planet.

With three simple steps to easy everyday care, here’s how to keep your GG Cashmere looking beautiful wash after wash.

#1 WASH

 Wash on 30 degrees or on a delicate cycle, meaning caring for your cashmere couldn’t be easier.

Simply turn your garment inside out and choose the gentlest wash and short spin cycle with non-biological washing detergent. Our cashmere garments are made from the longest fibres which may come to the surface after their first wash – this will subside as the fibres are conditioned the more the garment is washed.

#2 DRY

It’s important to dry your cashmere as soon as possible to avoid any misshaping. We recommend running your garment through a very light spin cycle before placing it flat on a drying rack to airdry, being careful to keep away from direct heat such as a radiator.

To NOT put in tumble dryer - dry flat 

Don’t be tempted to hang your cashmere as the weight of the wet cashmere hanging can cause it to stretch and become misshapen.

#3 STORE

It’s the best to smooth your cashmere back into its original shape after washing but if you prefer to iron it, we recommend using your iron on the lowest setting. Fold and store your cashmere safely in a dry spot or cloth bag for protection.
